Only 3% of plastic bags that are used in Australia are recylced.

If you want to re-use and recycle unwanted items.

You will need:
- an empty milk carton
- a seedling
- potting mix

How to:

Open up the top of the milk carton and punch some drainage holes in the bottom. Always ask for adult supervision if you are using scissors etc.

Put some potting mix in the bottom of the carton. Take the seedlings and gently take it out of its tube and tease to release its roots a little. Plant the seedling into the carton and add more potting mix. Plant the whole carton, into the garden and water the plant. The carton provides the seedling protection from weather and pests whilst it is growing.
